respectfully, I disagree with a lot of this take for the first part I feel like you guys are looking at the Big Bang theory through to serious of a lens. It is a sitcom meaning situational comedy. It is not supposed to be overly realistic. Did they follow several already done tropes yes but as stated it’s a sitcom that was on for 12 years, the second thing every character had growth that didn’t just happen. All of the sudden it progressively changed throughout the season as someone who watched the show multiple times I know this, everything is explained very well and honestly, I think the jokes are funny, and for the last thing reiterating the point this is nothing to be taken seriously I mean, don’t get me wrong. If you wanna watch the show or the show doesn’t sit well with you that’s fine, but it literally is just a show of nerdy people going through life and making them the main focus instead of the average we see on television could some things have been better I’m sure they could have but at this point I think it’s just one of those popular things that people love to say they hate it just because it is similar to those people who haven’t seen one episode of the Game of Thrones and wear it as a badge of honor it’s weird after a point but honestly rather you enjoy or dislike the show that is completely your choice. I know I love the Big Bang theory, and I will never understand why it receives the hate

I never liked Family Guy and Simpsons, both are unwatchable for me. I line Bob's Burgers because it is interesting and often wholesome.

The real reason for why TBBT is hated is because YS is loved. Everything else is up to interpretation.

People need to stop referring to a live studio audience as a "laugh track" a laugh track hasnt been used in comedy since the flinstones, most sitcoms are filmed infront of a live studio audience (in the 70s and 80s comedies would even tell you this specifically before the show started so the reaction is already there after the joke its not like they insert it later. And its not there to tell you when to laugh its there to provide atmosphere, if you take laughter out of anything it can become serious thats a poor example of why you dont find it funny. This sitcom wasnt a success because it was for smart people or even cos it was about nerds, it was a success because of the relationship between Sheldon a self ascribed genius who is socially inept and Penny a promiscuous socially in touch woman with zero understanding of science and how they were both polar opposites of each other. The rest of the cast were pretty much irrelevant. That was the only dynamic needed and it carried the show for its first three seasons til it got popular then branched out to other characters cos it had to. But the core interest was the development of Sheldon and Pennys relationship

Sheldon is never stated to be autistic by anyone of substance, whether that be the director, writer, or Jim Parsons himself. Sheldon Cooper is simply an incredibly intelligent person who at a young age decided that social interaction was not worthwhile to him. This is why he is so bad at any form of communication or interaction. Not because he has a mental disability inhibiting him to be able to, but because he literally never learned how to.

Psych was great. Even in german. In fact I'm still unsure whether I prefer the german dub or not. But that's besides the point. It was just a very fun show to watch. I got to rewatch it up to S5 (because for some reason the rest wasn't available), and now it's.. back on netflix here, because they keep shifting shows around on the 50000 streaming servers they have, which is fucking bothersome but alas. I sure hope I get to finish the series again lol

I just found the show dull and the side characters cliched. Also the Shaun character was stereotype of the annoying autist who is self entitled. I know heaps of people on the spectrum, the program didn't show any social coping methods like masking, over attaching, people pleasing and societal mimicry.
